The goal: To become a full time RV'er in 2014.
The original goal was just to get out of Island Pond and move someplace warm when my mate of 13 years died of cancer in 2010. It has taken me four years to reach this point, with lots of bumps in the road and changing of plans. I was initially going to move to Arizona since I had family there. It gets lonely up here with no one but myself and The Furry One. BUT, my brother decided to take a job in Wisconsin where the weather is worse than here. Not having any other target in mind, and no where else I really wanted to be, I decided to take it mobile. Drive around until I found some place that felt like home. So that is what I am going to do.
I spent a majority of the last six months researching and watching for just the right rig. In February I found one on eBay, but it was in Pennsylvania. Fortunately, I had friends in Philly, and they went and looked at the rig for me and negotiated a better price and I bought the thing. Since the weather has been horrible every where this year, it has been sitting at the seller's ever since. Tomorrow, it is being picked up and driven back here for me. By Tuesday morning (assuming all goes well), at the latest, I should be able to inspect my new home. I am so excited!
This is Kali Cat. Otherwise known as The Furry One. She is 18 this year and will be my travel buddy for as long as I am graced with her presence. I hope and pray that she adapts fairly easy and has a long and healthy life.
This is me. I hate having my photo taken, so this is one of very few pictures. Plus an article that was in the local paper a few weeks back. If you right click and open in a new tab, you can actually read it.
I am going to try to keep this blog updated on a regular basis. I send emails every morning to special people and will try to add anything newsworthy here at the same time.
Thank you for following and welcome to my blog!
Good luck, looks like I'm about a year behind you in hitting the road. Haven't got my ducks in a row yet. Looking forward to seeing how you manage so I will know what to do.

Thank you Diane. This is all brand new to me too, so I am learning as I go. :)
