Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends and friends that have become family! I am thankful for all of you!
I will be working a five hour shift today. I had the option to take the day off with pay, but volunteered so that people with families could have the day off. I will be missing the Thanksgiving potluck, but will be here for the Christmas one.
I am thankful I have a job, my home, my health, and my family and friends. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteonce my kids grown holidays are just another day for me. whatever day we pick has become our holiday or not depending. i decorate my house on my timeline feels freeing. plus if you work holidays sometimes you get holiday pay which is always nice. hope your shift went well
ReplyDeleteI did get holiday pay, but I still would have liked to have had a Thanksgiving dinner with all my new "family" here in Q. I volunteered to work in hopes that someone that actually had real family could spend the day with them. It ended up being a very long day. Hope you had a good one. :)
