I bought a car.

Wow, very busy day yesterday! Kali Cat hadn’t had any accidents during the night, so off to Parker I went to sign papers and get the wire transfer done. Looks like we might be moving in Tuesday or Wednesday. I have to say, I am ready. Once I got the paperwork signed, I stopped at the Ford dealership to see what was available for cars. I actually ended up buying one. I got a 1997 Chevy Equinox LS with 77k miles. The thing is loaded and drives like a dream, and it was within my price range. I will be getting it today, and I can’t wait! Once that paperwork was done, I went next door and got it insured and got the homeowners policy done as well, so those are both done.

I stopped at the post office on my way back thru town to see if Kali Cat’s food had arrived yet, but nothing. So I had to go to Dollar General and pick up a couple of cans of cat food and some cat littler. I made it back to camp about 1:30, got some lunch and chilled the rest of the day. I had been up since 2:30, so it was time. I tried to get a nap, but was unsuccessful.

I grilled a little piece of steak and some brussel sprouts for dinner, an hour of TV, a little reading, and bed. Up again at 2:30 this morning. Too much going on, can’t sleep.

Today is the home inspection. I need to be there about 7:30, so it is another early start day. I think I am going to see if I can get a ride back with the inspector guy and leave the tracker at the new place. One less thing to worry about come moving day.

I’m really excited about the car. I don’t have a picture of it yet, but will later today. It has some dings and scratches, but I feel that I got a really good deal, and so far, the whole experience was positive with Parker Motors in Parker AZ. The color is a metallic burgundy, very pretty. It is much nicer and newer than the Jeep so I can finally stop regretting leaving that behind in VT. It will be a real treat driving a real car instead of the little tin can. It has enough horse power to tow a small travel trailer too. I made sure to get one that would. There is a 15 day, so many mile, warranty so I should be good.

That is about all I have this morning. So much and yet so little. Big changes, again. And I am looking forward to both of them. :)

  1. I just bought a Chevy Equinox LS too! Your local car dealership has plenty of room to wiggle when it comes to the selling price. Too many shoppers however think when they see a sale price on a television commercial that this is the best price. You have so many resources online that can show you exactly what price you should be paying for this Chevy Equinox LS.
