More productive than Wednesday

Yesterday was a productive day, and I spent a good part of it outdoors. Drank lots of water, did lots of sweating. I got the stuff mailed out that I needed to mail, picked up my all natural gum at the post office, and went to DG and got four more baskets for the cupboards. I finished up the lower cupboards and then did the two over the fridge. They all look much better now. I had three full bags of plastic bags. I’m going to try to remember to bring them with me when we go to Blythe today so I can recycle them.

In amongst all that I went over to get Ody and bring her to the empty lot next door and had to come back and get the jumper. Jump started her and took her out on the road to charge the battery up. The people coming to look at her got here a little before noon and left a little after 1. They looked her all over and took her out for a test drive. I have decided that since I have had to jump the battery twice within a few days that it is time to put in a new battery. Keith came over and pulled the old one so I can trade it in and get a new one this morning. I am riding to Blythe with him to get the new battery and to get out of town for a few minutes. The battery might still be under warranty, but even if it isn’t I will get a new one. The couple that looked at Ody need to “think” about it, but they did ask what type of payment I would accept. I told them a bank check because I will have to mail it to my bank in VT. Sounds promising. It will be kind of a relief to have that done. One less responsibility and expense.

I did get two loads of laundry done and read a book. While I was at DG I picked up four NCIS CD’s for a buck each. That will give me something to watch. I’m sure I have seen them before, but they are season eight, so it has been a few years. I didn't get a full season, but it is about 20 hours worth.

I put my new flag out this morning when I got back from my walk. I have been up since a little before three this morning, so I will need a nap later. I’m going to watch the fireworks from Keith’s yard tonight. He says he has a great view from there. The sun will have gone down so I will need to rest up before so I can keep my eyes open. I still need to make the italian salad for tomorrow. I can do that before we head to Blythe this morning.

I picked up a cheap plant hanger at DG yesterday and moved my Bar Harbor bell over to the other side of the patio above the work bench. I had it hanging on the cloth side, but it was rubbing against it and making a mark. Now it has room to move and make noise.

I’m doing much better with the snacking and my diet, although I will probably blow it today. Keith and I will be in civilization at lunch time and he will probably want to go to lunch. I will try to be good because there is the pot luck tomorrow too.

This morning I turned the AC back to 80 instead of 82. It was just a little too warm indoors at 82. I realized yesterday that the last time I read the meter was on the 23rd of the previous month, so there was an extra seven days in this month’s bill. That gives me a little wiggle room and hopefully a little bit more comfortable.

I have to come up with some new music to walk to. I’m getting tired of the same old songs. I just downloaded one from Amazon and the other day I found the Burlesque sound track on Ebay and that is on it’s way. Mike said he would open up his music library for me, but he hasn’t done it yet. I also have the first Magic Mike movie coming, there may be something on that that would be good for walking. Although I’m not sure how I would strip out the music…will have to do some research. According to google, it can be done. I will have to try it.

  1. OMG! I'm dying laughing here! When you said you would STRIP the music off of Magic Mike! Ahahaha! What kind of music do you like? I could check and see if I have something for you in my music.

    1. Hmmm...I didn't see that, but it is funny. :) I like all kinds of music, but for walking it has to have a snappy beat to keep me moving. I tend to change my pace to the music that I am listening to at the moment.
