I drove to Bouse

I got several little projects taken care of yesterday including repairing the water line to the grapefruit tree, mounting the power strip for the desk in dead space under the desk so it isn’t on the floor, and a bunch of other little things taken care of. After I finished all of that, I decided it was time to get out of the house. I drove to Bouse, about 23 miles away. Was a very nice and interesting drive, too bad the town of Bouse wasn’t a little more interesting. Kind of a dreary little town, little being the key word. I could have done a loop, but I really didn’t want to go in to Parker, so I just headed back the same way I came. It was nice. And it felt good to get out and about. I didn’t get much for pictures.

I also hit the farmers market, the post office, and gassed up the car before my little jaunt. Kali Cat had a good day.

I got one call about Ody from the poster I put up at the laundromat yesterday, but I wanted too much money. I had the price listed on the poster too. It will be the right rig for someone. I hope she sells soon, I would like to start hunting for my new trailer.

Yesterday when I was out and about, I realized there is a whole section of town I haven’t shopped/explored yet. I’m thinking I will do my walk there today. I have to do my laundry first tho.

This morning I went online and picked out a new light fixture for the dining area. It is basic black and white and uses only one bulb instead of five. I will be going from this…

to this…

Simple and elegant. More in tune with my decor.

Got some good stuff at the farmers market yesterday. Cabbage, peppers, cukes, beets, and more. It was the last one of the season. I’m sorry to see it go. There is a farm stand in Blythe, but I don’t get that way very often. I will have to check it out tho. I even got some minneolas and some grapefruit. I’m not a grapefruit fan, but the ones grown locally are really good.

Lots of sick people out here, the flu is going around. I have managed to avoid it so far. I try not to touch anything when I go out, especially at the post office. It doesn’t take much to pick up a germ. So far, so good.

  2. I think so too! Can't wait until I get it hung. I took the old one down this morning and patched the hole the hook left. I have to move the hook since the table has been moved and is no longer under the light. It already looks better. :)
